Location: Portugal

Sector: Data Centre / Mission Critical Construction

Our client is a leading international contractor delivering complex, large-scale construction projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and high-quality project delivery, the company operates across a wide range of sectors including commercial developments, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and mission-critical data centre facilities.

Due to continued growth within the data centre sector, our client is seeking an experienced Senior CSA Planner to join the delivery team on a major data centre project in Portugal.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining detailed construction programmes for all Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) works. Working closely with project management, engineering teams, subcontractors, and client representatives, the Senior CSA Planner will play a key role in ensuring effective planning, sequencing, and delivery of all CSA activities in line with project milestones.

The successful candidate will work closely with project directors, construction managers, and commercial teams to ensure all CSA works are accurately planned, progress is monitored, and programme risks are identified and mitigated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed construction programmes for all CSA works on a large-scale data centre project in Portugal
  • Produce logic-linked schedules using industry-standard planning software (e.g., Primavera P6 or equivalent)
  • Work closely with CSA construction teams to sequence works including earthworks, foundations, structural steel, concrete, facades, and architectural finishes
  • Monitor progress against baseline programmes and produce regular updates, reports, and look-ahead schedules
  • Identify critical path activities, delays, and potential programme risks, implementing mitigation strategies where required
  • Coordinate closely with MEP planners and project teams to ensure full integration of project schedules
  • Support project controls activities including reporting, forecasting, and progress measurement
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate programme input and alignment with site progress
  • Assist in tender planning and pre-construction planning activities where required
  • Attend site progress meetings and provide clear programme analysis and reporting
  • Ensure planning outputs align with contract requirements, project objectives, and client expectations
  • Promote a proactive planning culture focused on delivery certainty and programme control

In Return, Our Client Offers

  • Negotiable basic salary
  • Accommodation, rotation or relocation support (where applicable)
  • Flights and travel allowance
  • Attractive bonus structure
  • Healthcare
  • Pension
  • Opportunity to work on a flagship European data centre project with strong long-term career progression within a growing international contractor
