HSE Advisor – Steel Plant
Location: Lulea, Sweden
Salary: €65,000 – €70,000 + Full Rotational Package

We are working with a leading European Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation (MEI) services provider, renowned for delivering large-scale industrial and energy infrastructure projects across Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving health, safety, and environmental excellence on site, ensuring compliance with Swedish and EU legislation, client requirements, and internal company policies. This is a rotational role, offering an attractive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all project activities meet Swedish and EU health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Carry out risk assessments, method statement reviews, and regular inspections to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and targeted HSE training to staff and subcontractors.
• Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, track actions, and maintain accurate reporting records.
• Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and site supervisors to integrate HSE best practices into project delivery.
• Produce clear and timely reports for senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and recommended improvements.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification – essential.
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar HSE role, ideally on large-scale industrial construction or manufacturing projects.
• Strong knowledge of EU and Swedish safety regulations.
• EU Passport or legal right to work in Sweden – essential.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence teams at all levels.
