Document Controller (Dutch speaking) – Data Centre Project – Amsterdam

A leading European engineering contractor is seeking a Document Controller to join the project team on a major data centre build in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is a key role ensuring the accurate management, control, and distribution of all project documentation on a fast-paced, high-spec construction project.

As a Document Controller, you will manage and oversee the flow of documentation across multiple stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements. You will play a central part in maintaining accurate, accessible records to support the successful delivery of a complex, mission-critical project.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage administration on the Bouwpas system and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Ensure all documentation complies with the company’s Integrated Management System
• Track, log, and distribute project documentation including drawings, schedules, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and reports
• Maintain a fully updated record of all project documents for easy access by relevant stakeholders
• Ensure smooth communication and timely notification of document updates to all project participants
• Support knowledge-sharing applications and digital platforms for documentation management
• Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure effective document flow

Candidate Profile:

• Fluent Dutch and English (written and spoken) – essential requirement
• 4+ years’ experience in the construction industry, ideally on large-scale projects
• Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
• Experience with knowledge sharing applications and construction platforms desirable
• Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders
