An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Design Manager to join a leading international contractor delivering complex high-tech facilities across Europe. You will oversee design coordination, budget control, and technical accuracy for large-scale projects in data centers, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, batteries, and biotechnology.

Key Responsibilities

Drive consistent design standards across CSA, Mechanical, Process, Electrical, I&C, LSS, IT, and Security disciplines
Monitor and control the design process, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with budgets/schedules
Lead design coordination meetings, both internal and external
Conduct and manage design reviews, including P&ID and 3D model reviews
Provide technical input and optimisation for constructability and value engineering activities
Support Project Manager in proposals, project setup, benchmarking, scheduling, estimating, and change management
Structure, prioritise, and delegate tasks within the design team, ensuring timely delivery of results
Ensure overall quality, consistency, and accuracy of design documentation across all phases

Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
Several years of experience in design management and project execution for large-scale projects
Solid knowledge of engineering workflows including P&IDs, 3D model development, specifications, system/functional descriptions, and cost calculations
Proven experience in design review, coordination, and management
Project management experience highly advantageous
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Excellent English skills (German advantageous)
